Since graduating in 2020 in Business Studies with Marketing, Teddy鈥檚 success within digital media and advertising has seen her rise to become Director, Programmatic Strategy (UK) at Cond茅 Nast. In this role, she leads the development of the programmatic go-to-market strategy for Vogue, Tatler, CN Traveller, GQ, Wired, World of Interiors, House & Garden and Glamour.
In a few short years, Teddy has used her multidisciplinary background and deep understanding of global clients鈥� business objectives to transform the division. She introduced strong-performing initiatives, one of which generated six-figure revenue in the first three months of launching. As a result of Teddy鈥檚 passion for innovation and focus on driving results, the UK programmatic business has developed into the highest-grossing market in Europe and second globally.
Teddy鈥檚 impact, however, goes further through her zeal for sustainability. This has seen her pioneer new business practices. These have not only improved the organisation鈥檚 competitive position, but have also had a tangible effect on its carbon footprint. Subsequently, Cond茅 Nast has been recognised as a top sustainable programmatic solutions partner within the sector.
Teddy is also actively involved in equality, diversity and inclusion developments. She is part of Cond茅 Nast鈥檚 Women Network and is a delegate at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) conference, supporting gender equality and female empowerment. Teddy also finds time to mentor women from underrepresented backgrounds to help them to break into the industry.
Having received numerous awards for her work, including being named 鈥楻ising Star鈥櫬燽y the World Media Awards, it is no surprise that the Alumni of the Year Award judges felt Teddy was a worthy recipient of the Inspiring Learning Award. They commented that: 鈥淭eddy demonstrates how valuable a degree can be in advancing your career and uses her passion and skills to support others. She has made great strides in her career within a short space of time and has clearly had a positive impact in terms of inclusivity and sustainability. It was inspiring to read about her achievements and accolades to date.鈥�
Reflecting on her win, Teddy said: 鈥淚 am honoured to receive this award! I want to pass on my gratitude to the supportive lecturers and university staff who encourage us always to follow our passions and persevere despite the hardships. My university experience shaped my career, placing the positive impact at the core of it. As a mentor, I strive to highlight the non-linear career pathway, where the rejection is redirection and building your skillset is what truly matters. Every industry comes with its challenges. Often we could be overwhelmed by our agendas, but using our knowledge and experiences to inspire others remains more fulfilling than any to-do task.鈥�
